Great review and I agree with everything you said about the GHD.
Several years ago, I bought a cheap flat iron and it killed my hair, so I tossed it out and vowed I would never straighten my hair again.
A few months ago, I learned about the GHD, so I picked it up at Sephora, and was amazed at how nice my hair turned out after using it.

Okay, I just want to say, I’m a hairdresser.. I work fulltime in a GHD salon. GHD’s are the ONLY flat iron we use. They are amazing!
And I just want to say that GHD’s go from 40degreese Celcius to 210C.
Those plates give way because they actually measure how much hair is between the plates.. If there’s less, it’ll go to a lower heat, if there’s more it’ll go higher.. thus, impossible to burn your hair. =)
